Throughout our 500-acre campus on the Cumberland Plateau in Pleasant Hill, Tennessee, we have endless amenities that allow our residents to fully experience all that the season has to offer. Because our retirement living community is spread across 500 acres, our residents’ homes are in a beautiful, natural setting. With tree-lined neighborhoods, unique architecture, and the opportunity to own their retirement homes, residents at Uplands Village are able to enjoy autumn right from the comfort and privacy of their house nestled in the Southern Appalachian Mountains.

Not only does our retirement living community offer miles of connected walking, hiking, and biking trails, but our campus is also qualified as a Certified Wildlife Habitat® by the National Wildlife Federation.

At Uplands Village, we care about all living things, so we have made the commitment to support the wildlife in our area. Our campus serves as a haven for birds, butterflies, bees, and other beautiful animals so they can get the vital resources they need to survive and thrive. We have incorporated all of the essential elements necessary to attract and sustain wildlife, including:
- Food, including plants and supplemental feeders
- Clean water for wildlife to drink and bathe in
- Places for shelter from weather and predators
- Places for wildlife to raise their young
- Sustainable practices such as the elimination of chemical pesticides and fertilizers

Uplands Village has numerous lakes, ponds, and streams that allow individuals to see the world from a unique perspective: from the water.
Imagine paddling your way downstream as you float under a canopy of colored leaves. The fresh, cool air keeps you comfortable as you paddle and navigate your way across a small lake, watching as the birds overhead fly further South for the winter.
Did Someone Say, “Pickleball?”
For some of us, the summer months feel too hot to enjoy outdoor recreational activities. Furthermore, spending too much time in the heat can be dangerous for our health. Fortunately, the autumn temperatures in Tennessee are perfect for getting your heart rate up with a fun and friendly game of pickleball on the Uplands Village courts!
Even if you play pickleball year-round, the weather that the autumn months bring could make the game even more enjoyable.
